Laurie Cremona
Prior to BEA, Laurie served as Director of Marketing Operations and Intelligence for Global Field Marketing at Sun Microsystems, applying Six Sigma to design and implement a management infrastructure and market intelligence models to analyze Sun’s sales and marketing effectiveness in each sub-region. In addition, she and her team measured Sun’s performance within its top accounts, and established a system to better manage customer leads. Laurie learned Six Sigma while at General Electric, where she acted as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt for GE Financial Assurance. She led GE’s Six Sigma quality strategy and project execution for Business Development, Operations, Finance, Actuarial and Risk Management. Laurie also executed “At the Customer For the Customer” Six Sigma projects with GEFA’s largest customers. Laurie joined GE from Citadon, a technology company that provides Internet-based collaborative process automation tools to the building and real estate industries. At Citadon, Laurie was both Vice President of Professional Services and the Six Sigma Quality leader. She built and led 40-person team to consult and deploy Internet browser-based, collaborative solutions to the building industry. Laurie holds both a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering and an undergraduate degree in Architecure and Urban Design from Stanford University. She enjoys running, tennis and volleyball, as well as song-writing on guitar, at her home in Portland OR. About BEA

Laurie Cremona is a Vice President with BEA Systems, where she and her job-share partner Elaine Miller oversee worldwide Services Marketing organization. She is responsible for all aspects of marketing BEA’s Education, Customer Support and Consulting services, which includes SOA Thought Leadership. Laurie and Elaine’s team also leads BEA’s Global and Enterprise Account initiative, focusing on building stronger business partnerships with BEA’s top customers. She is a member of the BEA Services Executive Staff where she contributes to the design and execution of services strategies.
